The season is autumn/Leaf-Fall and it is currently around 35-50 degrees. Greenleaf has faded, leaf-fall has come and with it many colors- the reds, browns and yellows of the falling leaves. Let's hope no cats get sick, for it will be tough when leaf-bare comes. Prey is getting slowly scarcer...and cats thinner.

Riverstar padded into the center of the sandy hollow, flicking her tail. It was time to train Swiftpaw more extensively. She needed to brush up on some old defensive skills, and learn some offensive. She was good at blocking, but still needed to know how to strike from behind and prepare sneak attacks. Running a tongue along her paw, and brushing it across her ear, Riverstar waited patiently for her apprentice to arrive.

Swiftpaw bounded into the clearing, feeling proud of himself. He had gotten bigger over the course of the last moon, and he knew it. He fluffed up his silver fur, crouching in a hunting position. "I'm ready!" he growled, pretending to be fierce. The lean tom's blue-green eyes were bright and eager.
